A 4.8 earthquake shook the Tri-state area this morning. Sam and Devon live in Brooklyn. They definitely felt the quake. Californians can laugh at us East Coast folks all they want about our reactions, but we do feel quakes more and in a wider area. In the "What next, 2020?" category...There was a 5.1 earthquake near Sparta, North Carolina. It was near where my sister's niece and nephew and their families live. They were pretty rattled. There was more damage in Fredericksburg than I originally thought! My church has $30,000 worth of damage. Three chimneys were ruined and there was damage to some walls. Amazingly, the bell tower was fine. And of course, the damage is not covered by the church's insurance. *eye roll ( Read more... )
